Membership Terms
Effective from 1 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this is
1.1Countr is a savings club run by Pride Tech Solutions, a partnership firm registered in Mysuru (MYS-F145-2022-23).
1.2As a Member you get a discount at shops that have joined the club. You hold CountR Coins, which measure how much discount you have left.
1.3Countr does not sell you anything and is not part of your purchase. You buy from the shop. Countr arranges the discount and keeps the count.
2. Joining
2.1You must be 18 or over and resident in India.
2.2You join with your mobile number, verified by a one-time code. One membership per number. Your membership is personal and cannot be transferred or shared.
2.3During the pilot, membership is free. On joining you receive a grant of 400 CountR Coins, valid for 60 days. You pay nothing.
2.4Paid plans are not available yet. If they become available, they will be offered separately and nothing here obliges you to buy one.
3. CountR Coins
3.1One CountR Coin equals one rupee of discount. Coins record how much discount you may still claim.
3.2Coins are not money. They are not a deposit, not e-money, not a prepaid payment instrument, not a security, and not a claim on Countr or on any shop for any sum.
3.3Coins:
(a)cannot be purchased. They are granted as a benefit of membership;
(b)can never be exchanged for cash, in whole or in part, by anyone;
(c)cannot be transferred, given, sold or shared with another Member or anyone else;
(d)cannot be used to pay for anything. They only reduce the price you are asked to pay;
(e)cannot be withdrawn or refunded;
(f)earn no interest;
(g)have no value outside the Countr club.
3.4Coins expire at the end of your grant's validity period. Expired coins are gone and are not restored, unless the expiry happened because Countr's system failed, in which case we will put it right.
3.5We will remind you 30 days and again 7 days before your coins expire, by message to your registered number.
3.6A discount is always rounded down to the whole rupee, never up. You are never charged coins for a fraction of a rupee.
4. Getting a discount at a shop
4.1You scan the Countr code at the shop's counter, choose an offer, and type in the amount on your bill.
4.2We show you the discount and the amount to pay before you submit. If you will get less than the offer's full discount — because your coins are short, or because that shop has reached its monthly limit — we tell you so, and why, on that screen.
4.3The shopkeeper must approve it with their PIN. Until they do, nothing is applied and no coins are used. A request that is not approved within five minutes expires and costs you nothing.
4.4You then pay the shop the reduced amount, directly, however you normally pay.
4.5Typing a bill amount higher than your actual bill is a breach of these terms and may cost you your membership. Shopkeepers are asked to check.
4.6Once approved, a discount is final. Coins are not returned except under clause 5.
5. If you return something
5.1Returns and refunds are the shop's business, under the shop's own policy. Countr is not involved.
5.2If you cancel or return the whole purchase and the shop tells us within 7 days, we will restore your coins, as long as your grant has not expired.
5.3We do not restore coins for a part return.
6. What an offer does not cover
6.1An offer works only at the shop and outlet named, in the hours stated, and on bills at or above the minimum.
6.2An offer is calculated on the pre-tax value of qualifying items only.
6.3Unless we say otherwise, an offer cannot be combined with another Countr offer, a shop promotion, a coupon or a negotiated price.
6.4Offers do not apply to taxes and levies, delivery or service charges, gift vouchers, goods at government-fixed or MRP-controlled prices, items already reduced, or anything the offer lists as excluded.
6.5Every shop has a monthly limit on the discount it will give. When a shop reaches its limit, its offer pauses until the 1st of the next month. You have no claim in respect of a paused offer.
7. Suspension
We may suspend or end your membership, and cancel unused coins, if you:
(a)declare a bill amount higher than your actual bill;
(b)try to transfer, sell or share coins or your account;
(c)act together with shop staff to get a discount not properly due;
(d)run more than one account to get benefits more than once;
(e)use automated means against our systems; or
(f)otherwise break these terms.
Where it was an honest mistake rather than dishonesty, we will restore your account once we are satisfied of the position.
8. Your information
8.1We handle your personal data as set out in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.
8.2In short: we collect your mobile number and your transaction history to run the club. We do not give your contact details to any shop. A shop sees only the transactions at its own counter.
8.3You can see, correct and delete your data from the app at any time. Deleting your account cancels any unused coins.
9. Changes and ending
9.1We may change these terms. Material changes take effect 15 days after we tell you, and continuing to use Countr after that means you accept them.
9.2You can close your account at any time from the app. Unused coins are cancelled.
9.3We may end the club, or your membership, on 30 days' notice. If we end the club we will tell you in time to use your remaining coins where we reasonably can.
10. Liability
10.1Countr's total liability to you, in aggregate, is limited to the greater of ₹1,000 and any membership fee you have paid us in the previous twelve months. During the pilot, membership is free.
10.2We are not liable for a shop refusing to honour an offer, closing, or for the quality or safety of anything it sells. A complaint about goods or services lies against the shop.
10.3Nothing limits liability for fraud or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
10.4Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. Complaints
11.1Write to us in the app or at [email protected]. We will acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve within 30 days.
11.2For data complaints, our Grievance Officer is at clause 12 of the Privacy Notice.
12. Law and disputes
12.1Indian law governs these terms.
12.2Disputes go to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated at Mysuru, Karnataka, in English or Kannada. This does not restrict your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including your right to approach a consumer commission.
12.3Subject to the above, the courts at Mysuru have exclusive jurisdiction.
12.4Where these terms are translated into Kannada and the two differ, the English version prevails.
